A Very Fun Event! Re-Purposed Market + Art

Posted in Uncategorized by 15minrocks on January 6, 2010

January, 1 2010 @ Green Spaces Colorado

The event at Green Spaces Colorado was a big hit! The market was almost too much fun, we gobbled down a ton of cereal and cupcakes, and of course there was the great 15 min. art and design on display! It was great to get the word out about Green Spaces, and about the many designers who put up booths for the market. Thank you to everyone who came!

I am very proud of all the great press we achieved for the show as well, check out some of the great links below!

Let’s Rock Another Pattern!

Posted in 15 min. Updates by 15minrocks on November 17, 2009

Screams Fancy Right?

Another pattern design from the Re-Purposed Decor images. I have become enamored with the classic pattern as a result of a repeated obscure object.

I am looking forward to some more fabric test prints in the next few months. For now I am working on archival digital prints. There is a pretty fun series in development that uses the archival digital prints and re-purposed frames. This is expected to debut Jan. 1st at the Re-Purposed Pop-Up Market I am curating.

This new pattern was also a great opportunity to add to the 15 min. studio collection on Society6. A great artist/designer online community that strives to empower the worlds artists. Sounds exciting right? It is and fun! Check out what I have put together on there so far and the other great creative people too!

Gnome_Tshirt_Protophoto

Exclusive 15 min. Tee!

I just received the prototype of the 15 min. Gnome T-shirt. Sure to be a hot seller since it is impossible to resist a shirt with a blue gnome on it!

Planning a few modifications before debuting this shirt on the web store. It will be printed on a navy blue shirt and we are going to remove the white box and change to a smooth white border. There is also a messenger bag in development!

The T-shirt will retail for $22 and be available on the 15 min. Art Store and at 15 min. events! I am putting together a model shoot to get high quality pictures of this shirt in action, so stay tuned for more info in the next week and a half.

Have you checked out the 15 min Art Store yet?

Re-Purposed Painting Sculptures

Re-Purposed Squirl Painting Sculpture

A quick detail on Re-Purposed Painting Sculptures:

I have expanded on the re-purposing of found objects to make Re-Purposed Painting Sculptures. They use found figures, found frames, scrap wood  and are contemporized with leftover house paint. Compositionally they are a play on comtemporary trends through the use of a plastic mass produced look and popular creatures. Still 99% recycled in the end product!
